Breakfast     - people getting ready for work                         
Daytime        - unemployed, housewives, students and elderly
Childrens      - children. Younger then older.
Prime Time   - families
Late night      - adults

Target Audience of terrestrial channels
BBC 1 - British public
BBC 2 - Educated Audiences
ITV 1 - British Public
Channel 4 - Younger Audienes ( Quirky Programmes )
Channel 5 - British Public

Channel 4 and Channel 5 have a lot of imported programmes from America and Australia because they can't afford to make all their own shows.

The Watershed is 9pm and this is when programmes can show more adult content.

Audeince Fragmentation causes narrowcasting wgich target niche audiences.
Examples of these are;
Dave - Men
QVC - Women
E4 - Teenagers
Disney Channel - Kids
Animal Channel - Animal Lovers
